Day 1 Day 2 Meet the expertsSession 23
Wednesday 17 March, 15:15 PM
There are few sectors in the UK that can argue their case more strongly for the breath of socio-economic benefits their provide to the their communities than manufacturing. A buoyant manufacturing sector helps upskill workers, creates rewarding jobs, can support the ‘levelling up’ agenda and helps build our national capability to deal with future crises. So how does manufacturing become the beating heart of our local communities again and how does government work with the sector to help enable, grow and then celebrate new UK based manufacturing success stories? Led by Lord Victor Adebowale CBE, the non-Executive Director of the Co-Operative Group, Collaborate CIC and the Chair of Social Enterprise UK, our experts will debate these questions and showcase a vision for how a successful manufacturing sector can create many socially responsible and inclusive benefits for communities across the UK.
